Renting Items
How do I rent an item?
Browse listings, select your dates, and submit a rental request. The owner will approve or decline within 24 hours. Once approved, you can arrange pickup.
What if an item is damaged during my rental?
Contact the owner immediately and document the damage with photos. If you have insurance coverage, file a claim through your rental details page. Security deposits may be used to cover repair costs.
Can I cancel a rental?
Cancellation policies vary by listing. Check the listing details before booking. Most rentals can be cancelled up to 24 hours before the start date for a full refund.
Payments
How do payments work?
Payments are processed securely through Stripe when your rental is confirmed. The rental fee and any service charges are charged upfront. Owners receive their payout after the rental period ends.
What about security deposits?
Some owners require a security deposit. This is held during the rental and returned once the item is confirmed back in good condition. Deposits are typically released within 48 hours of return.
How do I set up payouts as an owner?
Go to Dashboard > Earnings and connect your Stripe account. Once connected, payouts are processed automatically after each completed rental.
Account
How do I create an account?
Click Sign Up and register with your email or Google account. Complete your profile with a photo and verify your phone number to start renting or listing items.
How do I edit my listing?
Go to Dashboard > My Listings, find the listing you want to edit, and click the edit button. You can update photos, pricing, description, and availability.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Go to Dashboard > Profile and select Delete Account. Note that you must complete any active rentals before deleting your account.
Trust & Safety
How does UShare verify users?
Users verify their identity through email, phone number, and optionally through Google sign-in. We also use ratings and reviews to build trust within the community.
What if I have a dispute with another user?
Contact us through the help form below. Provide your rental details and any supporting photos or messages. Our team will review and help resolve the issue.
Is insurance available?
Optional insurance coverage is available for certain rentals during checkout. Coverage details and pricing vary by item category and value.
